Trio of PVF Industry Events: Don Caffee Memorial Golf Tournament, ASA IPD Breakfast Meeting & PVF Roundtable Houston

Houston was the setting for three major PVF industry events May 16-17 — the Don Caffee Memorial Golf Tournament at Sweetwater Country Club, ASA Industrial Piping Division Breakfast Meeting at the J.W. Marriott and the PVF Roundtable at the Westin Galleria. Executives from companies at all levels of the supply chain and throughout the country, took advantage of the opportunities to network at these conveniently scheduled events.

Mincron sponsored a hole at the golf tourney, and was well represented there with Directors Brent Tippett and Ronnie Bright playing in one of the foursomes, and Patty Baley, Dossie Sala and Mary Jo Martin greeting golfers at our hole with special giveaways for them to use on the course.

ASA Women in Industry Conference Chicago

The American Supply Association’s Women in Industry Division drew 180 women to its Conference — a great turnout for this fast-growing Division’s third annual event. It was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago April 27-29, while the NFL Draft was taking place and just blocks from NFL Draft Town, which drew lots of interest from attendees during their free time. Mincron President Wendy Berger and Marketing Manager Mary Jo Martin took part in the highly interactive event, which featured tremendous speakers and some wonderful relationship-building & social opportunities.

 

 

Blue Hawk Conference Dallas

The Blue Hawk Cooperative hosted its Annual Conference April 27-30 at the Sheraton in Dallas. Mincron Sales Executive Terry Dotson was on hand to meet with attendees at our table in the Solutions Partner Center. The conference’s headline event was Hawkapalooza, which encouraged everyone to get into the rock star spirit.

Mincron User Group Conference Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

The natural landscape, idyllic setting and spectacular views of the Coeur d’Alene Resort were an enchanting divergence from the breadth and depth of discussion on the latest software and technology developments at the Mincron User Group Conference April 3-6.

Mincron takes great pride in the way they have chosen to do business, with a laser-like focus on high-quality software solution development and a service-first philosophy when it comes to taking care of its customers. And the annual conference is the perfect illustration of the effectiveness and interconnection of those practices — it is an opportunity for Mincron to showcase its latest launches, as well as a chance to really listen to customers and further strengthen the existing bonds that have been built. Many of Mincron’s launches over the years have been developed as a response to feedback they’ve gathered from customers.

To be at the cutting edge of technology, Mincron has had to think outside the proverbial box. And this year as a special treat for its customers, Mincron brought that same attitude to the table when selecting a guest speaker — retired federal agent and author Jay Dobyns.

Dobyns’ easy-going approachability is a sharp contrast to his appearance, and was also praised by many customers. As one noted, “It was great that he shared so much time with us and attended all of our functions. It really felt like we got to know him as a person. He was so engaging — what a character!”

Mincron President Wendy Berger commented, “This conference provides us a valuable opportunity to spend time with our customers. We can share our specific announcements as well as our vision for the software going forward. We learn so much from our customers, about their businesses, their challenges, and their needs. This really helps us as we plan for new development going forward.

“We also enjoy just sitting down and chatting with our customers, who are like family to us. In today’s fast-paced, competitive world, we know it’s not easy for our customers to make time to participate in an event like this. We we are so grateful they do, and that they see the value in spending time with us too!

As one customer noted in the follow-up conference survey, “Thanks for all of the effort you put into planning these conferences. You were very generous with your hospitality. The location, facilities, speaker, food and entertainment were all first class. It definitely sets you apart from other software vendors.”

WIT Distributor/Vendor Conference Dallas

The Hilton Anatole in Dallas was the site of the WIT Distributor/Vendor Conference, March 8-10. Approximately 700 participated in the event, which featured an opening afternoon of special Tabletop Exhibits, followed by two days of intensive Distributor/Vendor Meetings. A short reception followed the business sessions each day, which was an ideal opportunity for attendees to unwind and enjoy some relaxed time together. Mincron was an active participant throughout the meetings, with Sales Director Brent Tippett, Sales Executive Terry Dotson and Marketing Manager Mary Jo Martin representing us at our table.

 

OMNI Spring Meeting Waikoloa, Hawaii

Mincron is an approved service provider for the Omni Buying Group, and is proud to support our customers who are members with services and functionality such as OmniConnect that simplifies their use of Fill It Now. Members of our team actively participated at the Omni Spring Meeting, held Jan. 31 – Feb. 2 at the Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawaii.

On the opening day of the meeting, Sales Director Brent Tippett & Director of Client Services Jonathan Lindle presented a demo of WebSmart, Mincron’s new B2B/B2C solution that is designed to help distributors capitalize on new business opportunities. They were joined by Marketing Manager Mary Jo Martin for the Conference Booth Sessions, networking and hospitality events.
